Types Of Watch Closures
Watch closures come in many different styles and configurations. Here you will find the most common types available on the watches sold at Precision Watches & Jewelry as well as some explanation of the terms used to describe the various clasp and buckle types. Pushbutton Deployment Clasp
Unlike a traditional deployment clasp, this clasp has buttons on either side of the clasp that must be pinched to release. This ensures the clasp does not open on its own.
Deployment Clasp with Safety
With safety in mind, a special deployment clasp with a fold over closure on top that provides extra security.
Hidden (Butterfly) Clasp
This clasp creates the illusion of a seamless band. Some have push-button release mechanisms for added security.
A simple latch snapped closed around a bar. It is released by lifting the clasp and unsnapping it from the latch bar. These types of watch closures should be handled with care.
