Modern Luxury Philadelphia Style has named Precision Watches a 2026 Best of Style winner in the Best Premium Watches category. The selection appears in the publication’s July/August issue and recognizes Precision Watches among the region’s standout luxury retailers.
The timing carries extra meaning. This year’s Best of Style issue also coincides with the Semiquincentennial, the 250th anniversary of American independence. For a Philadelphia publication, that makes the recognition feel especially connected to the city and its surrounding communities.
Three Generations of Watchmakers
Our story starts long before the showroom. It starts with a young man learning to take a watch apart and put it back together.
In 1946, Michael first learned the art of watchmaking. Decades later, he passed those skills to his son, Gary. In 1975, Gary enrolled in a two-year watchmaking school under Master Watchmaker Vitaly Markitan, then regarded as the finest watchmaker in the Soviet Union. Markitan trained many of the watch repair masters working today, including some now employed by the world’s most prestigious brands.
That training became the foundation of everything since. In September 1991, Michael and Gary opened Precision Watch & Clock Repair in Feasterville, PA. The business specialized in high-end watches and complicated movements, building its reputation one repair at a time.
Then came the third generation. Roman joined the business and pushed it in a new direction, expanding beyond repair work into the sale of luxury Swiss watches. That decision reshaped the company. Because of it, Precision grew from a repair bench into a full luxury watch retailer.
From Feasterville to Lower Gwynedd
Growth meant outgrowing spaces, repeatedly. Four moves in seventeen years, each one a step into more room than the last.
The Feasterville shop gave way to a larger store at The Shoppes at The Buck Hotel in early 2007. Four years later, the business moved again, this time to the Valley Square Lifestyle Center in Warrington. At the end of 2014, it settled at the Willow Grove Park Mall, where it spent nearly a decade.
Then, in 2024, came the biggest step yet. Precision opened its flagship showroom at 1612 N. Bethlehem Pike in Lower Gwynedd, a newly constructed, freestanding building designed from the ground up for the way people actually shop for a luxury watch.
Inside the Lower Gwynedd Showroom
A mall storefront has limits. A freestanding flagship does not.
The new showroom houses dedicated brand boutiques, giving each maison the space to present its collections properly. It also houses our service center, which matters more than it might sound. The business began at a watchmaker’s bench in 1991, and that bench never went away. Because of that, a watch bought at Precision can be serviced at Precision by watchmakers who understand it.
Whether you are looking at a new luxury watch or exploring our used luxury watches, the experience is meant to be unhurried and genuinely informed.
What the Recognition Means
Awards are pleasant. Relationships are the point.
We have spent three generations building trust one customer at a time, first over a repair counter and now across a showroom floor. So a nod from Philadelphia Style is gratifying mainly because it reflects the thing we have actually been trying to do: know our craft, treat people well, and be worth coming back to.
To the clients who have followed us from Feasterville to the Buck Hotel to Warrington to Willow Grove and now to Lower Gwynedd, thank you. You are the reason there was a third generation at all.
