Hamilton Jazzmaster Watches at Precision Watches

Precision Watches is an Authorized Hamilton Dealer, and we carry the Hamilton Jazzmaster collection at our showroom in Lower Gwynedd, just outside Philadelphia. Every Jazzmaster we sell is brand-new, covered by Hamilton’s manufacturer warranty, and backed by our on-site service center. It is one of the most stylish and accessible ways to own a Swiss automatic dress watch, and we are glad to help you find the right one.

The Hamilton Jazzmaster Collection

If the Khaki Field is Hamilton’s field watch, the Jazzmaster is its dress watch. The collection pairs clean, contemporary styling with genuine Swiss automatic movements, and it is best known for putting the movement on display. The signature Open Heart models feature a shaped cutout in the dial that reveals the balance wheel oscillating beneath, while the Skeleton references open the movement up entirely. It is mechanical watchmaking meant to be seen, at a price that keeps it within reach.

Most Jazzmaster automatics are powered by Hamilton’s H-10 movement, a Swiss automatic caliber with an 80-hour power reserve and a non-magnetic Nivachron balance spring, offering performance well beyond what the price suggests. Across a range of sizes and dial colours, for men and women, the Jazzmaster is designed to move from the office to the evening with ease.

Jazzmaster Models

Open Heart : The signature Jazzmaster, with a dial cutout that exposes the balance wheel in motion. Offered in 36mm, 40mm, and 42mm cases and a wide range of dial colours, including recent midnight blue aventurine and emerald green options, plus a dedicated Open Heart Lady.

Skeleton : A fully skeletonised Jazzmaster that strips the dial back to reveal the entire H-10-S movement, front and back. The boldest, most contemporary expression of the collection, in a 40mm case.

Viewmatic : The clean, classic three-hand Jazzmaster, with a simple elegant dial for men and women across a range of sizes. The most traditional dress option in the line.

Performer : Introduced in 2023, a sportier take on the Jazzmaster with three-hand and tricompax chronograph versions, bringing a more athletic edge to the collection.

Thinline and Day Date : The Thinline is the slimmest, most minimalist Jazzmaster, ideal under a cuff, while the Day Date adds everyday day-and-date functionality.

Hamilton Jazzmaster Price

The Hamilton Jazzmaster offers exceptional value for a Swiss automatic dress watch. Most automatic references sit around the thousand-dollar mark, with quartz and simpler models below that and skeleton, chronograph, and PVD-finished references running modestly higher. As an Authorized Hamilton Dealer, we can confirm current pricing and availability across the collection.

Why Buy From an Authorized Hamilton Dealer?

Buying from an Authorized Hamilton Dealer means your watch is brand-new, guaranteed authentic, and covered by Hamilton’s full manufacturer warranty. You can see and try the watch before you buy, compare dial colours and case sizes in person, and rely on our on-site watchmakers to service it in the future. For a dress watch you plan to wear often, it is the straightforward, secure way to buy.

Visit Our Showroom

Dial colour and case size make a real difference on a dress watch, so trying the Jazzmaster in person is worthwhile. FAQ

How much does a Hamilton Jazzmaster cost?

The Jazzmaster offers strong value for a Swiss automatic dress watch. Most automatic references sit around the thousand-dollar mark, with quartz and simpler models below that and skeleton, chronograph, and PVD-finished references running modestly higher. As an Authorized Hamilton Dealer, we can confirm current pricing.

What is the difference between the Jazzmaster Open Heart and Skeleton?

Both show off the movement, but in different ways. The Open Heart has a mostly solid dial with a shaped cutout, usually near 10 or 12 o’clock, that reveals just the balance wheel oscillating beneath, so it keeps a traditional dial look with a mechanical window. The Skeleton removes the dial almost entirely, exposing the whole movement front and back. The Open Heart is the more classic and subtle of the two; the Skeleton is the bolder, fully mechanical statement.

What movement is in the Hamilton Jazzmaster?

Most automatic Jazzmaster references use Hamilton’s H-10 caliber, a Swiss automatic movement based on the Powermatic 80 with an 80-hour power reserve and a non-magnetic Nivachron balance spring. The skeletonised versions use the H-10-S. Some simpler references use quartz movements. The long power reserve means the watch keeps running through a weekend off the wrist.

Is the Hamilton Jazzmaster a dress watch?

Yes. The Jazzmaster is Hamilton’s contemporary dress collection, with clean styling, slim cases, and polished finishes designed for formal and professional wear. Models like the Viewmatic and Thinline are classically understated, while the Open Heart and Skeleton add a mechanical display for those who want something more distinctive.

Does the Hamilton Jazzmaster come in men's and women's sizes?

Yes. The Jazzmaster spans a wide range of sizes, from smaller cases suited to women, including a dedicated Open Heart Lady, up to 42mm and 44mm men’s references. The Open Heart and Viewmatic lines in particular are offered across multiple sizes, so most wrists are well served.

Where can I buy a Hamilton Jazzmaster near Philadelphia?

You can see the Hamilton Jazzmaster collection at our showroom in Lower Gwynedd, PA, about 30 minutes north of Philadelphia. We are open Monday through Saturday, and you can schedule an appointment to view and try the collection with a watch specialist.
